Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music has been able to make significant progress to Latin pop. The 2016 smash Una Lady Como Tu was the recipient of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Favorite Song in 2017. In Medellin, the Sony label La Industria Inc. released ADN the debut album of his long-playing career. The album climbed to number 8 in the Top Latin Albums Chart. Vaina Loca was a Top Five hit for Ozuna and him the year after. He released Dopamina, his chart-topping second album, in the following year. Later in 2021, he performed in a duet with TINI on her streaming smash single Maldita Foto. 2000 which included the smash hit La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo was brought up in a music-oriented environment as both his mother & older brother are professional musicians. In interviews he has described playing music as an obligation. As a child, was playing the ukulele as well as piano. While his initial career choice was to become a veterinarian His brother Julian encouraged him to enroll in lessons in singing with an Cuban teacher. The end result personally discovering his talent as a singer altered the direction of his life.
